Be like God in your friendships
“And Saul’s son Jonathan came to David in Horesh and strengthened his hand in God, do not be afraid, for my father Saul will never lay a hand on you. And you will be king over Israel, and I will be your second-in-command. Even my father Saul knows this is true” 1 Samuel 23:16-17, Berean Study Bible.
God says “Be like Me in your friendships. I am with you, but I’m not experiencing the same perspective as you. When you are confused, I’m not confused with you. I am focused, and I help you focus. When you are weak, I am not weak with you. I am strong, and I help to strengthen you. Be strong and help strengthen them. Be focused with a clear mind when they feel confused. Be confident when they feel afraid. Don’t mimic them trying to be a good friend. This doesn’t help them. My word is a mirror, and when you look into My word, you are changed into the same image from glory to glory. Be My mirror of truth that reminds them of who they are in Me, what they have in Me, and what I have called them to be, says the Lord.”
(Read 2 Corinthians 3:18; Proverbs 27:17)
